At Icarus Equestrian, rider wellbeing is something I take seriously - and that includes having a clear plan in place when it comes to concussions. Falls don’t have to look dramatic to be serious, and even mild symptoms can affect a rider’s focus, coordination, and long-term health if they’re not properly addressed.
To help support safe and responsible riding, I’ve put together a set of concussion and return-to-sport resources specifically for IE students and their families. These documents outline what to look for, what to do next, and how to make sure a rider is truly ready to return to the saddle.

Included in the package:
• Concussion & Return to Sport Policy
• Return to Sport Protocol
• Return to Sport Clearance Form
These resources are here to take the guesswork out of recovery, keep communication clear, and make sure no one is pressured to return before they’re ready.

If you ever have questions or concerns after a fall — even a small one — I’m always here to talk it through. It’s better to check in than to push through, and your safety will always come first.
